:neutral: I closed my debugging console and would like to know how to reopen it. Isn't that lame?:lol:
Using Netscape, and I've disabled the console, logged out, closed the broswer, and then started from scratch. Pop-ups are enabled on the browser....so, what am I missing. TIA!

General Settings, there is a checkbox. Enable X-Cart debugging console.

Also, if you can please post your version in your signature per the forum guidelines that would be great :)

Oh, the box was checked, but nothing was popping up. It just struck me to quit the browser (I'm on a mac)rather than just close it, and -what do you know - after starting from the beginning, I have my pop-up box back.

I'm still having problems and even though i have checked the enbale debug console in the admin area it still does not show up on my computer. i checked this on IE7 and firefox but it does not open. i disabled any popup blockers as well. any suggestions?

Hi Padraic

I'm having the same problem - no debugging console popping up despite having the enable debugging console checked in my general settings. I've reset my browser (currently using Safari v1.3.2) and also restarted my mac, but still no pop up. I've not disabled popups in my browser either. Could you please help?

I'm not sure about the 4.1 branch with Safari...do you have Firefox to test it out? If not, it is a free download:

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

I've dowloaded Firefox and will try it through that. Although I have tried it through Explorer (for Mac) and Netscape and still no debugging console...

I've also tested it on another mac, and still the same problem. It is definitely specific to this particular store.

I have another (totally unrelated) x-cart store which is hosted on the same server as the one I'm having problems with and the debugging console is there and works fine on that particular store.

Will I need to do a re-install of the problem site do you think?

Are they both the same version? It could be a bug with one of the earlier 4.1 branches, as they were pretty buggy.

Yep - they are both version 4.1.2.

I've discovered that there was a server failure on this particular server earlier in the week, but the IP got both x-cart stores up and running again. Do you think this may have some bearing on the problem? I've contacted them and they only had to sort out the MySQL database on the store - would this cause the problem with the debugging console?
