language variables
A real quick one here, how do you change the 'Welcome to (your website)' on the home Page.
I am sure it is in the language variables somewhere but i have not found a post on it yet. Thanks Richard |

customer/main/welcome.tpl
Webmaster Mode is your friend :) |
Re: language variables
Thanks balinor for your patience.
For the benifit of others like me the lbl_welcome_to is where the issue was resolved in admin under language. Hope this helps some others. |
Re: language variables
Also, besides webmaster mode, there is a nice little search option in the languages area. Simply type the words you are looking for in the 'Filter' box and it will find it. For example, in this case you could have searched for 'welcome'.

Re: language variables
Hi,
I am still trying to edit the image(s) and text of the home page. I go to the Administration Area then select Languages in the Administration menu. All I can do as far as I can tell is to Add/Edit languages. I cannot see any search (Filter) facility on this screen. Regards |
Re: language variables
Click on 'English' or whatever language you are using. You will then see the language variables appear.

Re: language variables
Many thanks balinor. It was that easy! I have been messing about for several hours.
Now Iv'e got to figure out an easy ,ethod of how to get rid of the pages and pages of WYSIWYG language editors now at my disposal. (4127 languages in all). Life wasn't meant to be easy. Thanks again. |
Re: language variables
Don't remove them...just filter them using the 'filter' box. Type what you text you are looking for in the 'filter' box (like welcome, cart, etc) and it will show you only the language variables with that text in them.

Re: language variables
Thanks for the tip - I had done about 20 when I woke up to what you suggested.
Cheers  |
