I have just bought the ezUpsell addon.
I went ahead and started installing it, and before i was finished we had to move to a different server.

On this new server i get an error message when in admin i go to patch/upgrade.
I know 100% that this error was not on the old server.

The error is: Error: perl executable is not found or patch.pl has no rights to execute. In that case you cannot use patch/upgrade code of X-Cart.

I have set both patch.php and patch.pl to chmod777 but still the same error.
Anyone got any ideas?

Moving to Third Party add-ons. You need to specify the path to Perl in General settings.
