moved cart to root, but images didn't follow
i followed the directions in the list of things asked a million times. all went great, until i noticed all the product pics are gone. firefox shows the alt text, safari the little x box.
i tried the following: sql query: update xcart_thumbnails set image_path = replace(image_path,'/store/','/') -ran images, icons too, it made the changes to appropriate sounding #'s of lines tried changed file permissions from 644 to 777, folders already 755 changed in admin /home/candlesh/public_html/files/images/thumbnails looked in sql db's, paths right. the pictures are on the server, in the right directories. if i go into a product i can choose the picture and its fine. but i really don't want to have to do it that way. i've imported links before ok, but after something got goofed in the products, i forget what exactly, but i'd rather not do that either unless i have to. saw something about deleting the .htaccess and putting the images back in files system, tried that, didn't work. what else? not sure where else to look. thanks, |
Re: moved cart to root, but images didn't follow
I'm not sure....but you might check your .htaccess file in the images directory and make sure it says
Allow from All Louise |
Re: moved cart to root, but images didn't follow
I checked, the one in the images folder says allow. the one in teh files folder (as in files/images/thumbnails) says deny all. i changed it to allow and still no go. so i put it back.
this was fine before i moved the store. seems to me it has to be a /store somewhere i've missed. maybe? |
Re: moved cart to root, but images didn't follow
What does the path in 'Images Location' say?
|
Re: moved cart to root, but images didn't follow
/home/candlesh/public_html/files/images/thumbnails

Re: moved cart to root, but images didn't follow
if i use the images path and put it like this in the browser:
http://www.candleshopcreations.com/files/images/thumbnails/bathbear1_t.jpg the image will show. so this is a permissions problem? the .htaccess in files is deny. is that wrong? i did not change this from before and it worked fine. the images directory .htaccess file says: Options -Indexes Allow from all should there be an .htaccess in the thumbnail and other dir? |
Re: moved cart to root, but images didn't follow
well. i just exported my products and it turns out the images were renamed. not the files but the link in the products. so. i will start editing the csv file w/ the right names. but this is gonna be a mess and take me a while to fix.
anyone know how I did this? or if there is a better way? i thought I followed the directions right. oh well, off I go! |
