Tweaking UPS message during checkout

Hey there... Would like to tweak the UPS image and logo during checkout.

I want to remove or resize the big UPS logo and remove:

NOTICE: These fees do not necessarily represent UPS published rates and may include charges levied by Whistle & Drum

UPS, the UPS Shield trademark, the UPS Ready mark, the UPS OnLine Tools mark and the Color Brown are trademarks of United Parcel Service of America, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

THEN I want to add a UPS ground transit time map (a gif image) . That way, folks who live close to me will know not to select upgraded services if UPS ground will get there in 1-2 days anyway....

Been reading a lot in the forums but still not sure the best way to do this.

Thanks in advance.

I think removing the UPS information entirely is illegal and could get you in trouble with UPS. I have moved the info by putting it in a two-column table so it is still there but pushed over to one side so it doesn't take up quite so much room.

I'm interested in this "UPS ground transit time map (a gif image)" you refer to, what exactly is it?

The "NOTICE: These fees do not necessarily represent UPS published rates and may include charges levied by {{company}}" is defined in txt_ups_rates_notice in you Languages labels (lng_labels) section.
Also, check txt_ups_av_notice, and txt_ups_trademark_text for the other things you mentioned.

That agreement is in there per X-Cart's agreement with UPS, but I remove it all the time. What are they going to do, check every e-commerce store running X-Cart to make sure the correct text is in place? :) Doubt it.

thanks for the help... Here's where you can generate a ups ground time in transit map... would be helpful for customers to know whether or not they really need expedited service:

I went one step further -- I disabled 2 and 3-day options to all zone 1 zip codes (I left next-day morning there for those no-budget types that have to have it by 10:30am or else - BUT - I also put a line of text in my shipping info:

A note to our friends within approximately 250 miles of NYC (including Washington DC, Philadelphia, and Boston): you are in UPS "zone 1". Your package will be delivered in 1 business day if shipped standard (ground) so choosing "express" shipping is a complete waste of money.

But there's always the one cusotmer who has to have it tomorrow morning, or else... and money is no object. Otherwise, I'd have shut down express entirely.

X-cart shipping can be a brain-warping-cluster-f***, but it's very powerful once you get it. it ony took me a few days of around the clock insanity. ;)
