Why are all reference to "shipping kit" (when spelled as one word) come in as "************" ? It's as if "Shipping Kit" (if spelled as one name) is on the bad word/censored list.

Try doing a search for "shipping kit" (remove the space bewteen g and k)

Is this company on the "nasty list" from X-Cart? Is there something we should know? Is the owne of the company an ex-X-Cart employee and they don't like him anymore?

What's going on? Censoring the name of a company in the "bad word list" is not really the best way to do this... is this topic taboo?

Not to appear snooping...but I've been researching your threads and postings to see what sort of issues you've combatted. And again you've already chartered the territory I'm researching.

Anyway, did you ever find an answer about shippingkit.com? And have you mastered solutions for UPS, USPS, and Fedex for drop-shippers?

X-Cart will have UPS WorldShip integration (or at least export/import) soon (so I've been told) so there is no need to pay a 3rd party - especially a 3rd party that is on x-cart's ban list. ShippingKit must have really pissed them off...

I have been using WorldShip w/ "Quantum View" and we're NOT bringing tracking info back into xcart for now... customers get their tracking info from UPS, not us. Hopefully, that will change soon, when xcart integrates a worldship export/import. We'll still use Worldship, but we'll simply export a batch, bring it into Worldship, print labels, print end of day, export from worldship, import into xcart, send confirmation emails to cusotmers. Sounds like more work (a little) but it avoids data entry errors or copy/paste madness. AND - we get to control the customer relationship, not UPS. I have detailed my ideas for what would make a better UPS WorldShip integration elsewhere... and in private to xcart. They asked me to send them some sample files -- I would imagine that we'll see this eventually... i have no idea about their timeline... but maybe, someday?

On there ban list? That's strange. I've had nothing but a good experiance with them. I use their fedex ship modual and it's wonderful.

One click and your label not only prints but because it talks to fedex directly you get a copy of your lable IN THE ORDER. Which I have found increadibly useful when dealing with customers who state that the package they signed for must have been shipped to the wrong address. When this happends we can actually look at the label itself.

Support has been good overall. After buying our product I was contacted by a support rep and they even added a signature confirmation which wasn't in there by design for us.

Anyway if the UPS mod works like the FedEx mod I'd say go for it. A world ship integration is ok... But I prefer a more direct aproach and the ability to have an actual copy of the shipping lable works wonders for Customer Service and perfect for company audits.

Installing a mod that is on X-Cart's ban list may void your X-Cart license, so I'd check with X-Cart before purchasing it.

I've tried it and had to point out many programming errors to the creator of the mod. Not recommended. Still working out kinks.

They were having a dispute with X-Cart, but since you can now type the url perhaps it has been resolved.
