Displaying products on a static page...

How would I go about displaying the products from a specific category on a static page?

Thanks!

Do you want to display ALL of the products from a certain category or just some?

I'd be interested in this as well.
for me it would just be some i.e I could select which products to show. This would be especially usefull in creating affiliate landing pages

Actually easier to create a hidden or membership-specific category and add the products you want to that category...

heads up! :)

We've already completed and releasing a new add on called The Firetank Featured Product Manager that lets you do exactly this and more, if you're interested in the silent release (available for a limited time before the public release) please contact me on http://www.firetanksoftware.com contact page.

It'll do dynamic products and HTML on static pages and a hell of alot more. :D

And it does it all WITHOUT screwing with your x-cart files. No modifications needed. ZERO messing around with php and admin files. It's in one of our clean break out interface in marketing manager style.

We've been using it internally for our own clients for over a years, it's been refined down over time and we're now releasing it.

It does not affect your tables or admin area.

Versions for x-cart 3, x-cart 4.0.X and x-cart 4.1.X are available.

Let me see if I understand the concept. I can create a stand-alone static html page with the mod that I can have one or twenty different products of my choosing to display on? Could you show us a screen shot of what the resulting page would look like?

The reason I ask - is I have had HUGE SEO sucesss with one specific page on my web site:

http://www.vacsew.com/miele/parts/index.html

That one page has made me MANY thousands of dollars over the last couple of years. Notice that it is NOT an XCart page.

I would like to do something similar with other groupings as well...

Hi Carl,

It can do that and alot more, the output is dependant on which listing style you want to show it lets you switch templates at a click of a button. I'll be putting some examples up soon.

There's all sorts of tricks you can pull for SEO tactics, i'm going to start giving away tips and tricks in our newsletter soon for our customers.

Count me in - do I do the routine we did for the Feed Generator?
