Creating Additional Forms in Static pages

Hi all

Having some trouble creating a form in a static page through the edit area in administration.

I have built the form in html and ported it across into the static page (just the form portion of the page and the styles).

If anyone has managed to create a new form or knows how to do it i would be most grateful as i have been searching for some time for a solution.

thanks

Forget the fact you are using x-cart, just add a php or a cgi form like you would a normal website. Or any technology that you want that your server supports.

It can be done quite easily then, e.g.

Thanks for the swift response.

Cany you direct the form through the existing site or would you create an addtional cgi / php script to handel that form directly.

Is there any way to direct the form through the main contact form?

thanks

Personally I add new scripts and reference them from the Form tag.

I don't really see how you can do it through the existing contact form. If you have searched this forum and found nothing else, I would suggest that after all this time and with millions of users, it cannot be done that way.

Hi again

I've created the form and run it through a formmail script, it all works fine, i even setup custom error pages and a thankyou page. The only problem is that i now have all three pages in the help menu at the right hand side, is there a way of not haveing the error and thankyou page listed there without completley stopping access to the files for the forms?

thanks again

The easiest thing would be to remove the loop from the menu and just hard code the static pages that you do want. Of course if you are going to add lots more pages in the future you are going to have to hard code them all.
