How do you integrate a custom page into the card?

I apologize if this has already been covered, I tried searching around but found nothing. If this has been covered, and you know where it has, a link would be greatly appreciated.

I'm basically looking to include a custom page that I've designed (just some HTML) into a page on the cart, say.. /shop/browse-products.php which has a list of a few categories with custom descriptions on them. I want the entire cart to wrap around it, so that I have the categories menu and everything else.

It would basically be like the news page, but without news on it.. with my custom content.

Im sure its something along the lines of...

{include file}
my html page
{include file}

But I cant seem to find out which files it is I need to include directly to wrap the cart around it.

Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated, and thank you in advance.

Click on 'Static Pages' in your admin menu. That is exactly what the embedded static pages do...the content shows up in the main window, but the rest of the cart stays the same :)

This definately builds a page like I was talking about under /shop/, however it doesnt actually wrap the cart around it.. I view the source of the page, and the only code in the page is the exact code I pasted into the Page Content field when creating it under Static Pages.

Thank you for your quick response.

You need to use EMBEDDED pages...not ROOT pages. There are two static page types...make sure you are adding the right one.

ahha.. Great! Thank you! Now I feel like a complete moron.. hehe.

One last question if you don't mind... this makes the page show up with the URL "/shop/pages.php?pageid=3&mode=preview" ... is there a way I can make this "/shop/browse_products.php".. Im trying to keep the urls optimized for SEO.

Thank you for your time thus far, I greatly appreciate it.

You want this mod from SafetyNetWeb....it optimizes not only the static pages, but the product and category pages as well:
