Is it possible to change SKU to say Catalog #?
Is it possible to change SKU to say Catalog # instead?
What about change Price to Deposit only on one product. And how can you add notes under under the products pricing? Also where do you edit the blue text that shows up everywhere (Delete Item, Subtotal, Shipping, Total, etc.)? Would this also be where we can edit the gray table that shows up on checkout, step 1 of 2? Sorry I am such an idot!!! Please help! |
All text can be edited in the languages section of your admin.

:D I remember having this same problem. What you want to do is in your admin area, click on 'Webmaster Mode', and then enable webmaster mode. Then, go to your catalog home, find somewhere where it says SKU, can click on it. A window will open that allows you to change the word SKU to Catalog #. Also, if you have any other text you wish to change, just navigate to the page it is on while in webmaster mode, click on the text if it is green, and edit it to your liking. Hope I was of help.

What permission do I set to use webmaster mode?
Thanks for your help. Can someone tell me what permission do I set to be able to use the webmaster mode?

You shouldn't need to set any permissions. However, if you just go to your admin home, on the left hand side, click languages, and in the first combo box you see on that page, you select English then click Update, and then put SKU in the filter box, it will bring up the same thing as webmaster mode. Then you just change both SKU instances to say Catalog #, click save, and you're done. Hope I helped, I can provide images if necessary but it isn't that hard to change it.

Okay, thanks. Yes, it did help. I got that working, however I was wanting to change the price to Deposit ONLY on a certain product and Price to Processing fee on another. I think I have figured out that it can't be done. Or at least w/out some major coding knowledge.
Thanks so much! |
That one would be tough, but it could be done, most likely. What you would have to do is add a special language variable saying what you want, then on the pages you would have to change the language variable to the one that says the special text. Not really hard, but irritating and it might take a little while to do. Glad to be of help.
