Wish to Divide Store in Departments & always display sub
 

I will like orientation on how to divide the x-cart store on major departments, but only one checkout for all.

I have the main level root categories as the main departments
displayed accros the top (head) and always showing.

and will like to always show the subcategories level 2 and 3 on the left column as a replacement for the regular categories.

so my page will look like this.


rootcat 1 - root cat2 - root cat3 (this already is working)

now on the categories place.

Alwasys display which rootcat it is located under.

rootcat = root Main level categories
subcat = second level categories (under root)
sub-subcat = third level categories (under root and subcategory)

Example 1

rootcat1
-subcat1
-subcat2
---sub-subcat1
---sub-subcat2
---sub-subcat3
-subcat3
-subcat4

and if click on subcat4
subcat2 will collapse
and subcat4 will display expanded.
(with the page refresh / load)

rootcat1
-subcat1
-subcat2
-subcat3
-subcat4
---sub-subcat1
---sub-subcat2
---sub-subcat3

Anyone hat can help / share info on how to do this ?
