Search results displayed / organized by category headers
Hello all, I have seen some sites around that have there search results organized by category, and I would like to spice up our search results with the same functionally.
For example, if I have 3 product categories CATS, DOGS, and MICE, and searched for "food", my search results would display like so: Search Results Б─╕ ----------- CATS ----------- Cat food $1.99 ----------- DOGS ----------- Dog Food $2.99 ----------- MICE ----------- Mouse Food $.99 Currently, X-cart only does a broad search over all categories and seems to list them by alpha in the results all grouped together, not by relevance. SooooБ─╕. I am looking for the following mods to help with the weak search function in x-cart. 1. search results based on relevance. (Please note: I have seen mods for this already floating around the forums, but all suggestions and comments on how you got this to work are welcome.) 2. looking for a way for my to have a my general search only to search by Б─°Product TitleБ─² at first and then prompt for a advance search at the end of each search results page. 3. Search Results listed by category. With headers (as described above) Any help is appreciated. -Thanks in advance |
May want to post in the Pro Services - Requests forum, or ask X-Cart for a quote as this will take some work.
