Rubymods GeoIP mod released

Rubymods announces the release of it's GeoIP module for X-Cart 4.0x.

The module determines which country your customer is visiting from and alllows you to associate a language with that country and automatically display it to them.

* Determines the customer's country by referencing their IP address to an open source database of countries and IP addresses
* Automatically changes your store's language for that you have specified for that country
* Enables you to specify which of your installed X-Cart languages to associate with each country.

Can the customer over ride this? For example, if they are English-speaking ex-pat in Spain and would rather read the site in English, can they choose that? Or are they stuck with the Spanish version every time they move to a different page?

Just wanted to share this; I've bought the 4.1 version and I think it is great mod but it doesn't function unmodified with the cdseo mod. I have had my site go extreeeemly slow after installing and had to ask an expert to fix it. No complaining meant, just sharing the info :)

Hi Warwick,
Sorry to hear you had some trouble. The mod is compatible with CDSEO now.
Did you open a support ticket with us regarding the issue you had after installing? We couldn't located one.
We've not had any reports of site speed issues. Let me know. PM me or open a support ticket if you need further assistance.
Regards,
Rubyaryat

That's smart use of the Geo IP :) I remember playing about with that simply to greet customers with "we welcome customers from USA".

That would be a nice feature to add to it too on the welcome pages since it's already detecting the country.
