Show featured items by category
 

I would like to display my featured items on my main page divided into sections which are listed based on category.

For instance, all featured products that are in CAT1 have a heading, then list the featured products under. Then CAT2 has a heading, with the featured products under that.

So far all i can think of is manually coding in each category, and pulling a set amount of featured items from each one.

Is there any other better way of doing this?

X-Cart have many products and product versions, a mod in one verison may not work in other versions.

sorry, read those a few weeks ago but forgot about the version,

Its v. 4.0.14

Other then that its just a plain jane x-cart site and a few unrelated modifications.
