Letting users upload their images to products
 

Hi,

I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on how to do this...

I would like to be able to allow registered users to upload their "user photos" to each product. Like a "customer action shot" kind of thing. It would be nice if there were a few thumnails from the action shots, and then if you wanted to view more you could click a link and go to a different page...

What would be the best way to go about this? Any thoughts?

There was a mod that did exactly this, but the company seems to have vanished :(

Revisiting this - it's been a few years now. Is anyone aware of a mod that'll do this?

(Edit, sorry I didn't include my version in a siggy. I do stuff for various customers so the version varies! - this one happens to be 4.1.12)

Thanks for responding, Carpeperdiem (and nice name too.. hee)

This mod looks like it's good for the customers to upload images for customized products (like t-shirts) but we were thinking more in terms of letting them upload pictures of themselves wearing the products or using them, if that makes sense, and then they'd display those shots with the product

I'm reluctant to try to write something like this myself if it's already done, because it'd need some anti-spam measures, etc. Thought I'd look around to see :-)

Yes, we have a mod similar to the BCSE one - but they both just allow customers to upload images for use by admin.
I think customisation would be needed - perhaps the easiest way would be to take the reviews mod and add image upload functionality along with the text which then could be displayed.
