Is there a way to place the same item with different quantity amounts, either a pack and case amounts and pricing next to each other in the same line item ? I am a newbie at PHP so I would not understand an explanation. If you would post or send private message with code that would be preferable.

Take a look at the wholesale options in the admin zone. In product detail page, there is a link that says wholesale options. Try that.
