Non Techy Newbie Template Help Needed
 

Hello all,
I have changed the skin on my cart to green but the portal page that says Welcome to X cart store is still yellow...How do I change it to green and add my own Text and logo/pic it says I can add my own tags etc also...where do I do all this...

Thanks and please treat me like an idiot with step by step instructions...

Hi Michelle, do you really want the intro page? It is really not recommended. Would you rather edit it or remove it all together?

Second question...re alternate currency
 

Another question:
Is there anyway to add more than one alternate currency, I have my primary as CAD and my alternate as USD but would also like to show the GBP... I tried adding a comma and then the &pound and the same for the conversion rate but got back an error message ( something about smarty pages whatever they may be )...

please let me know how to delete that portal page also..

Ok, here's how to get rid of the splash page:

- Open your site via FTP and download the .htaccess file in your root directory of X-Cart

- Edit the file with a text editor

- Remove the index.html part of the text so the final file should look like this:

DirectoryIndex index.php

- Re-upload and you should be all set!
