Adding content to the Speed Bar
 

Hello, Having trouble. How does one add a new link to the speedbar.
I created a new page customer/statement.tpl
I would like it to appear as would any page when you click on the link in speed bar. Do i need to create a php page? or can i just add the customer/statement.tpl in the speedbar admin section?

Actually you should create new pages as embedded static pages (click on Static Pages in your menu). Add the page, and then link it in the 'Speed Bar' section using pages.php?pageid=x (where x is the number of the page) as the link.

I this something static pages are used for?
I was going to use a speedbar link to display featured items.
I add the check to parse smarty pages in static.
I added the tpl code form featured.tpl,
a blank page was displayed. meaning no featured items. Is this possible to do this way?
