How to add quantity to pricing

If I wanted to be able to have pricing for different quantities, how would I do that? For example, for every item, I would like to be able to add pricing like this:

Quantity 100 250 500 1000
Price $3.00 $2.25 $1.00 $0.50

Anyone know how to do this and be able to edit if from admin section like the normal price?

Set that up using the wholesale pricing

enter quantity 100 for $3.00 That would show that if they purchase 100 items they get them for $3.00 each.

next enter 250 for $2.25. They if they were to enter 250 or more they would get them for $2.25 each...while if they only entered 249 they would get them for the $3.00 price.

and so on...

When they go the the item, right along with the price/quantity section, they will see the various quantitiy pricing availability.

price per quantity - no in between

We sell catalogs/magazines and they have a set amount of pages and each has it's own price.

For ex:
qty ordered
1000units 5000units 20000units
12 pages $1285 $3395 $8220
20 pages $2745 $4465 $10690
32 pages $4170 $6760 $14425

I need to set these fixed unit amounts and prices. You cannot order in between amount such as 4900units. How do I do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Alex,

I don't know if there is a way to do that without major cart redesign.

However, may I make a suggestion that may help in the interim?

Perhaps make them as option choices and separate items.

Lets say Options as:
12pgs (1000units) <--being the standard price
12pgs (5000units)=+2110 "{(3395-1285)}"
12pgs (20000units)=+6935 "{(8220-1285)}"
20pgs (1000units)=+1460 "{(2745-1285)}"
20pgs (5000units)=+3180 "{(4465-1285)}"
and so on....

I tested it. It does work. If the prices are the same for a group of magazines, you could set that up in the global product options. You could use each page quantity as a separate option or keep them all as one option. Then I would REQUIRE your buyers to select an option. This will then require them to buy in those quantities only. I am sure there is a way to require an option to be selected before sending to cart.

This may not be the optimal way of doing this, but it may get the job done until you find a better alternative.
