Random Wish List Buttons?

Hi,

When a user logs in to my site and displays a products page, the wish list buttons seem to be randomly generated. For example, on 3 pages each with 12 products, the wish list button will appear next to 1 product on the first page, 5 on the second and perhaps 3 on the third.

I can't see any logic to this, the source reveals the buttons simply aren't there. So what am I doing wrong? Surely the buttons should be displayed for each product (none of those items which don't have the button alongside are already in the wishlist or ever have been).

Confuzled!

Are you using inventory control? Do those products have zero stock?

I had "Disable Inventory Tracking" checked but unchecking makes no change. All products are stocked up to 1000.

Still no joy. Tried a number of things...

Failing a complete solution, how would I go about removing the "add to wishlist" button on the product pages? I'm using 3 columns but can't find any reference in products_t.tpl nor anything in Modules/Wishlist/

Removing the button on product listings but keeping it on the individual product description pages would be enough.

I still can't figure this one out.

The wishlist button is appended to all products except for those recently updated (descriptions mostly). In fact it's probably more random than that as a few of the recently updated have wishlist buttons (but only a few).

Looking at the csv file there is no difference between the items :?

Maybe something awry in database?
