Firefox Rendering of Footer - In the middle of every page!

I admit it... I'm newer than a newbie... but having poured over this forum for many, many hours, I've almost managed to get this E-commerce site up and running in a matter of days!

I have searched for the solution to this problem, so I'm assuming it's something totally stupid that I'm doing with my CSS (or something similar), and I'm just hoping someone else might have done something equally stupid so they can help me find the answer!

Here's the URL - http://www.jlyncreations.com/xcart/home.php - it renders fine in IE. However, the "powered by" footer on the bottom shows up in the middle of every page in Firefox.

Can anyone out there give me a nudge in the right direction? Any clues? Thanks!

I'd check rectangle_top.tpl and make sure you didn't specify a height for the overall table. Also make sure you didn't delete the rectangle_top and rectangle_bottom includes on home.tpl....those two templates are necessary to 'wrap' the entire site correctly.

Checked these... not the culprit

I checked on all of these things - even restored original source documents to be sure and still have same problem in Firefox... but thank you for taking the time to suggest a possible solution.

Any other suggestions?

It has to be a busted table somewhere. IE tends to kind of 'fill in the blanks' on that kind of thing, but Firefox doesn't. Do you have a copy of Dreamweaver? You could paste the code for the site in there and see what kind of errors Dreamweaver gives you...(unclosed table, extra closing tag, etc)

Dreamweaver Check

I do have Dreamweaver and have the whole site downloaded so I can check it. Any suggestions as to where to start? I assume you mean to run it thru the validator. Would I be actually running the .tpl files through it? Is that what you're suggesting? Again, many thanks for your direction.

Sorry, should have been more specific. Just do a 'view source' from your browser. Then cut and paste the code and drop it into a blank file in DW. The images and styles won't show, but you will get a good idea of where any problems might be occuring in the tables if you see any of those big yellow highlited tags, or if DW gives you the pop-ups saying you have an un-closed tag or extra tag.

It's fixed - Thank you!

Thank you my new best friend, you are a genius! It was something simple in my header that was causing the table to break because it was too wide. Don't know how that snuck in there, but I'm sure you saved me hours and hours of wasted effort. Thank you so much! (Next challenge... USPS! And yes, I printed out the forum info on that too!)

Again, many thanks.

Glad it worked out :) Things like that can drive you nuts! Let me know if you have any questions on USPS....as I wrote that guide.

Thanks! Will do!

Yes, I noticed your name was attached to the guide on USPS... so I'm feeling pretty comfortable about installing it!

I am still in the early stages and have just sent USPS an email asking them to switch the store over to production per your instructions. I'll post in that forum if I have any problems with it. Keep your fingers crossed... I trust ya on this one!

Thanks again!
