Need Help - Add to Cart Link Won't Work!
 

I am trying to modify product.tpl to put an add to cart link at the top of the page.

When I use the code below it won't add the product to the cart. I must be missing some little detail so if you could help me out that would be great.

This is what I have:

I have read several posts and tried many variations so I am wondering if my version requires something different that what has been suggested.

make sure that you dont end up with two forms of the same name or a form inside a form

have the <form> tags wrap around the right code

That seems to be the problem is their a workaround? I need to have an add to cart with the price showing underneath the title which I have stored in an extra field. Is that possible?

Dont move the <form> tags just move the add to cart code

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. It turns out my Add to Cart link was wrong concerning the product id.

I had this before:

Add to Cart

The correct answer is:
Add to Cart

That works great and it shows the price or list price either one on all of the product pages.

To show the price I used this complete snippet in product.tpl:

<span class="boldblack">Price - {include file="currency.tpl" value=$product.price}</span> - Add to Cart
