Where do I find this text/template??
For the life of me I can't find where to edit the standard default message displayed on the cart's home.php page.
This is a demo store powered by the X-Cart and based on PHP4 template technology and integrated with a SQL database. It is a fully functional store, as a buyer you can browse products, put products into your cart and check out. As an administrator you can add categories, products and change the look and feel of your store. If you have any questions please contact us. This service is for demo purposes only. No real products. No real prices. No real charges. Please do not submit real credit card information. WHERE is this?? Help? |
Login admin panel and go to Administration -> Languages -> choose English from the drop down and search the variable that holds the value that you want to change and make the changes, save it.

Thanks for the post :)
I went to that section and there's nothing there resembling that text. It's all labels, errors, emails, countries and languages. Nothing about text on the home page. I need to know where to edit the home page of the site. See what I mean at: http:www.cinema-celebrities.com/cart/home.php The text in the middle of the page is what I want to edit. |
Select 'Text' from that drop-down and search for 'welcome'. You'll see the variable to edit.

Ok, that got me there. Thanks! :)
Now, if I can figure out how to have 'offline' credit card processing..... hmmm :? |
Just use 'Credit Card' as your payment method. That doesn't connect to any gateway, it just writes the CC info to the DB. Be very careful when using this method though, make sure the CC info is not included in the order e-mails and be sure to erase the CC numbers from the DB daily!

Under Payment Methods I have the first 6 checked.
Credit Card Check Gift Certificate Phone Orders Fax Order Money Order I haven't entered or selected any providers or gateways. This guy just wants to process all orders offline using his keypad/swiper. Thanks for the help, btw. |
Yes, Credit Card will do just that. It will store the cc info in the DB, which will show up on the orders as well.
|
Ick..that could be 'testy' having the CC #'s displayed or stored. Hmmm, any way to disable that or manage it?
|
Well if you are going to use manual processing, they need to be stored somewhere, at least temporarily :) And I mean they will display on the admin order, not the customer order if you have the settings in General Settings/E-mail options set correctly.
