Adding "How did you hear about us?" into checkout?
 

We would like to add a "How did you hear about us?" section somewhere in the checkout, would make the most sense in the "User Login" section since we are seeing a majority of people checking out without registering. Has anyone done this. I searched the Completed Mods section, and some have done it in the Registration area. But like I said, we get a lot of people that go through the checkout without registering.

A "generic" solution would be to simply put ""How did you hear about us" " and add a textbox next to it and let them type in whatever they wanted. The more preferred way would be to have a series of selections to help guide them to give us what we want, such as "Search engine" with a drop-down list, "Internet Forum" and a text box so they can put in which one "From a person" and another text box, etc. etc.

Would love to hear back from a person that has coded this in themselves, or a company that offers this for purchase.

General Settings/User Profiles Options. Scroll to the bottom. You can add select boxes, checkboxes or text boxes.

Holy crap, I never knew about those!! :) Thanks balinor... the owner of this website are going to think I am a God for being able to keep adding all these enhancements for them. :wink:
