skin1.css change

i want to change a color in the skin1.css. when I click save a message says "File operation is failed". i checked and the CHMOD has write permissions. anyone have any ideas? X cart version 4.0.13

Make sure it has world writable permissions....

yes permissions are writable

Is the skin1 folder set to 777 as well?
