Improved x-cart templates

Does anyone know how I would be able to change the text in the central space so that it is produced further up the source code? I have added H1 and H2 tages to the central space but they are being produced on line 335 of the source code, I would really like this code to be much higher as it is currently not very search engine friendly. I'm also looking to do the same for the category pages and product pages.

Has anyone got any ideas?

You would need to convert the templates to CSS....a very daunting task.

I thought that was the case, do you know if anyone has verntured there before?

Many have tried...and failed :)

think I will have to have a chat with guy I know in UK, as the other problem with x-cart is that it is not accessible, using css would solve this problem as well, huge job though but I think it would be worth it.

I am currently working on a CSS template with a friend of mine as well, but it is a slow process and I don't have much time to devote to it.

what youll find is that youll end up with a skin thats a pain to upgrade

Exactly

so if css is not a good idea, can you suggest how I could improve the coding without css to make the H1 & H2 tages higher up the code?

Well, first thing would be to see what the code is in front of them. I think you'll find much of it is JavaScript, which is unfortunately necessary. Also, all of the side menu items on the left will show up in the code ahead of the central space, so you already have two strikes against you :(
