Site sizing and image placement

Q1.
I am trying to fix my site to be left aligned and not stretch (fixed) when you take the mouse and expand the page alot like www.viosport.com. how would i go in doing that becuase anytime I key in a number it change the site colors.

Q2.
also on the outside of the site or the plain white area like on www.viosport.com, I wanna place an image in the background that will stick with the entire site anytime a link is clicked, how do i do that?

Edit rectangle_top.tpl, that controls the overall width and justification of the site.

That works perfect. How do you fix the site positioning so that when you adjust the size your browsers (mine is IE) the center doesn't expand with the page.

Also I removed my menues from the left side and I have a blank space how do you adjust the colums in the center to align to the left of the page.

Appreciate your help.

Set the table in rectangle_top.tpl to align="center"

If you removed the menus from the left hand column, just comment out or remove that table cell on customer/home.tpl and the center column will auto-stretch.

Thanks for the help.

Is their a way to not have the page auto-stretch? and is a form that shows how to insert a photo on the background of a site

Regards

You need to set the table width if you don't want it to auto stretch. As far as image backgrounds, you need to use CSS. Grab yourself a good CSS book, or use the .button style as a guide.
