Help with validating HTML catalog pages
Hello,
All of my static pages outside of x-cart validate using the W3C validation service. I also want to validate the HTML catalog pages as well, but I am leary of messing with code. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about doing this? |
Hi Danielle, didn't you ask this same question a couple months back?
|
Hi Balinor,
Nope...not a couple of months ago....yesterday. It was the third question in my other thread "HTML CATALOG". It didn't get answered so I thought maybe it would be better to post it as a seperate issue. Sorry for the confusion! |

8O :D
Wow....I completely forgot about that! Guess I have too many irons in the fire. I am doing about 95% of the work for my business....including taxes, accounting, inventory, web design and maintenance, etc. I jump back-n-forth between projects so I am bound to forget something. I think I probably saw the response to that thread and went uuggghhh...."more to it than just adding the doc type to the top of the document"... and went on to something else. Guess I will try working on it and see what happens...and if you have any more advice on validating the html pages I would love to hear it! Sorry 'bout that  |
*laugh* Don't worry about it :) It is a valid question...and one that should be addressed. Unfortunately, much of the html used in X-Cart is a bit dated, and not exactly standards compliant. Let's hope the 4.1 version brings with it some nice shiny new code :)

Sounds good to me :D
I will keep watching for more information on the subject. Thanks a bunch :!: 8) |
