Different product option = different product image?
Hey guys,
I was wondering if it's possible to have product options control the main product image that is seen? For instance, if I am selling a T-shirt that comes in 3 colors, one image will be the default, then if a customer selects a different color, the product image will change to correspond with the color they have selected. Ideally I would want this to work with a matrix of options for color and shirt style, so 3 colors and 3 styles would mean 9 images for this one product. Does anyone know if this is possible and how to implement it? Does X-Configurator or any other module out there handle this? Thanks a lot for the help. |
This is one of those mods that everyone wants. You may want to browse through the Custom Mods forum and see what has been done so far.....

I've have a programmer working on this for me. JavaScript.
I see some of you guys sell mods for X-Cart. What does this entail? Is this as easy as installing a few files and clicking the appropriate checkbox in Modules to activate the new add-on? Or does it require specific alterations to the templates and code that might be out of the realm of a beginner X-Cart user? |
It all depends on the mod.

I always pay the extra and get the developer to install it no matter what the mod, that way i can blame it on someone else if something goes wrong. Nothing like a bit of passing the buck when my wife/business partner asks me why something isn't working :D
