Featured Products Template

I do not use the featured products template at this time. I would like to deactivate it for now so that it does not display on my products page. However I would like to reserve the option to reactivate it later. Is this possible. Thank You.

Just comment out this line of code:

{include file="customer/main/featured.tpl"}
