3 column and 2 column?
 

I am looking to customize the layout of my site. Ideally the home section will be in 3 column layout and the product page will be in two column. Is this possible? I have already done some customization and have noticed a pages folder that is empty in the edit template section. Is this for complete custom pages that can be called?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You could just use an {if} statement for the third column on home.tpl to tell it to only display on certain pages.

And yes, the pages folder is meant for static html pages (created using the static pages link in your admin menu)
