Where is $payment_data.payment_template?
 

Ok, maybe I am dumb, but I cannot figure out where "$payment_data.payment_template" is. It is included in the /customer/main/checkout.tpl file. I have no problem locating any template (.tpl) files or any language ($lng) variables, but I don't know where this file is. Anyone want to point me in the right direction?

Actually that is just a variable which will contain the name of a template for the payment method being used at that point in time. For the actual templates look in your skin1/payments directory.
