UPDATE: now available for xcart 3.4x and 3.5x
X-CART SEO Modification Thank you, and wishing you the best of success in all your ecommerce ventures. |
Hooter installed this mod for me on http://www.justhom.com , although search engines are getting better at following dynamic links it's still a lot easier for them to follow what appears to be html ones.
Hooter did an excellent job and kept me informed at every stage of the installation, I can recommend him very highly. |

Hi hooter can you do this for litecommerce as well?
|
Hi mdperfumes,
Sorry, never have had a LiteCommerce license so have no way of knowing - this mod as written is for xcart 4.x. PM or contact me via web site in my signature and we can certainly work something out for you. Quote:

I've been using this mod for a few months now and love it. One thing I just now realized is that you can change the name of your products without breaking the links to your website. This is invaluable if you need to make modifications to your product name after you have an established ranking on search engines.
For example: Let's say your current link using DSEFU is: www.yoursite.com/Old-Product-Name-pr-123.html And you change the product name to New Product Name. Your new DESFU will be: www.yoursite.com/New-Product-Name-pr-123.html However, even if you put the old url in your browser, it will take you to the product. This is because it finds the product based on the"-pr-123" part of the url (which is the product id). Therefore, you could put whatever you want in front of "-pr-123" and it will take you to that product. So, great mod! One less thing to worry about when changing the product name. Thanks Hooter!
