Adding images to News section of XCart Gold/4.0

Help!
Would like to add images to News section of shopping cart. I used the following html to no avail. What am I not doing correctly?

<IMG SRC" xcart/skin#/images/customer_images/name_image.jpg" WIDTH= HEIGHT=>

An outline of a box for the image is visable, along with an x where the image should be. In addition, the following information is displayed when I right click on the image box and scroll to properties:

Protocol: Hyper Text Transfer Protocol
Type: Not Available
Address: address of graphic
Size: Not available
Dimensions: correct image size
Created: Not available
Modified: Not available

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Try this:

I'm assuming you created that customer_images directory in the skin1/images directory and not the skin1_original directory? :)

Adding images to News section of xcart gold/4.0

Ok Padraic,

First of all, thanks for your quick response. I just have a couple of additional questions in regard to your response:

1. I did not create the customer_images directory in skin1. It already existed. It is in fact a folder. Does that constitute a directory?
2. I tried the code and it still did not work. Where should I locate the image? Prior to your instructions I tried various folders to no avail.
3. I'm placing this code in the news managment section of xcart, in news list message details. Is that correct?

Thanks,

Hi Miss Lil, I guess I should have first asked you exactly what version you are using. I see 4.0...but 4.0.? If you could post that in your signature it would be very helpful.

As for the image not showing up, PM me and I can take a look and see what you have.
