Label Modification

Hello
I would like to remove the standard labels and icons (the dingbats)on the side bars such as users online, your cart etc.

My intended solution is to incorporate the label into the image, so instead of having a small icon and ordinary label, I would delete the label and increase the size of the icon.

I will replace the standard icon keeping the name and location the same, this in theory should be pretty straight forward, but I do not know xcart that well and do not know how it will react if it cannot find something (like a label name) when it is expecting it.

The other option I suppose is in the languages bar delete the value but keep the description and variable, but wouldnt this still reserve the space on the web page (that I would want to use)

Hi Adam. So basically you want to create custom header graphics for each of the side menus that incorporate the text into the image? No need to worry about the labels, I delete them from the templates all the time even though they still exist in the languages section.

Hi Padraic
Thanks for responding, I am currently half way through redoing the menus, I created the icons myself, and made the mistake of having several different sizes.

My only question now is how can I hyperlink the help icon so I can get rid of the help label(duplication at the moment).

Something I have to ask is how come its the same 3% of people responding to forum posts, is it because of the lack of knowledge by a lot of people (like myself) or have I got the wrong impression or something.
It seems the ratio of people asking to people responding is very high.
Regards Adam

You probably know more than you think! You bring up a good point though, most people just get the answers to their problems and leave without ever giving back to the community. Its the way of the world I guess. You would think that with over 6000 registered users, there would be more contribution.

people come and go around here and as long as everyone is willing to chip in when they can then thats what makes a community.

Even if you dont know how but are willing means that we are on the right track.

We all learn from each other :D

or from google
