Using Smarty Tags in Txt Labels
Hello,
I was wondering if someone can point me in the right direction for the use of smarty tags in Txt Labels. I am using a mixture of HTML, plain text in my txt language files to allow me to customise the welcoming area on the front of the store and also in areas on new Help Zone pages I have created using the technique of adding lbl and txt files. I have found that if I use HTML to refer to images in these txt language files when a user is signed in under https the non secure message is displayed as I am referring to these images using the http url. I would like to do this using the smart tag for the skin1/images folder to call the images required on a page, however when I use any smarty tag inside of a txt language file all i see is the dreaded red X Is it possible to use smarty tags in the txt language files or is there another way I can acheive my desired result. I am relatively new to xcart / smarty but after hours of reading and plyaing with the code I am picking it up :-) I do hope to hear from some one soon. Thanks Cheers |

Hello Ryan,
Thanks for your reply :-) Yep I sure am but with no luck. When I use this code the images show as a red x. I am starting to think you can not use smart tags in the language files?? Do you think that may be the reason? This is really got me stumped. |
Yea, that would be my guess as well. If you want to use html or images on a page, why not just get rid of the smarty tag in the template you are working on and just put 'regular' text, html and smarty tags?
