Is there 1 template for menu's
 

Is there a template file with the code for every single menu (categories, Products, etc etc)

or do i need to skin each menu individually??

Yeh they nearly all have there own tpl file.

switch on the debugging console in your admin area to see whats what

so basically if i wanna change the design i have to change it for every single menu??

as when i copy say admin/menu.tpl into dreamweaver there is no colours or anything, its just tables and the text

Most of the formating (well all actually) is controlled by stylesheets, so if you are working within DW, I suggest attaching the skin1.css stylesheet to the template you are modifying until you have finished, but make sure you remove the reference at the end.
