Smarty/Server Problem?
Recently I had my web host's server was upgraded. I edited one of my templates and the following error message appeared:

I have since swapped the altered template with a backup copy, and the problem is still there. I've tried to CHMOD the template folder to 777, but it keeps changing back to 771. The domain name is www.vaux-tec.co.uk, but above it shows /home/vauxtec/public_html... (no "-" between vaux & tec) Would this cause the problem and how do I change it? Is it something that could of happened during the server change? |
did they make and changes to settings ? / php etc ?
you could delete the templates folder altogether and then recreate it |
I've tried to delete the templates folder and recreate it, but the problem is still there. I'm not sure what changes they made when they upgraded the server, but they wouldn't have editted any of the code.

but they may have set things so that the server now acts strange with xcart. best to check with them
it may also be a file ownership issue |
Fixed now, web server permissions were setup wrong to work with xcart. Thanks for your help shan.
