Additional Payment Methods?
 

Hello,

I was just wondering if it's possible to add new payment methods? More specifically, is it possible to create a payment method similar to the Purchase Order payment method, only instead of asking for purchase order number, it could ask for different fields?

I am trying to set up an option where somebody would enter their credit card information, but the orders will be manually processed after recieving the order.

Yes, that option would be great, but where is it? I don't see a manual processing option in the list of payment methods.

Where can I find this option?

I don't mind you poking a little fun at me :) , but can you at least hook me up with the answer. Maybe it's because I have been staring at the computer all day, but I can't seem to find any options that will enable manual cc processing.

Maybe it gets a bit frustrating when i see so many questions that are kinda obvious / in the manual or been covered a hundred times and people are not searching.

not saying that you are in any of those gangs but you know what i mean ...

So here you go

xcart 4.x.x

admin / payment methods / first option in the list is credit card

check that and you should be good to go :-)

It does not say manual processing in this version .... Ill give you that.. It used to im sure

I understand what you mean. I appreciate your help.

What threw me off is that I previously worked with an older version of x-cart where it did say "manual processing" and "Credit Card". Then you would have to select the payment gateway for the CC option.

When I saw just "Credit Card" and no "manual processing" I thought this option was removed because I think most people use real time CC processors.

I just need to enable manual processing temporarily while my application for a merchant account get processed which could take 3 weeks.

Anyhow thanks for the help!

P.S - Believe me I searched for hours before posting. Personally I think the search function on this forum is extremely poor. A more advanced search would save a lot more time.
