Adding Two Fields to Product.TPL.....how?
 

I would like to add two labels....as

Manufacturer: {manufacturer name here}
Product ID/SKU: {sku # here}

Where I would like it to go is on the product.tpl in the Details area....where quantity, weight and price are listed.

Can anyone help me with this? I am really green so please make it simple if at all possible.

One of the ways you could do this would be by using product options. When you are in the admin control panel go to the product, click on product details, choose product options and add it there. That would take care of the Manufacturer one that you want to add. As for adding the SKU are you wanting it to tie into the sku assigned by x-cart database?

Actually, I was able to add the Manufacturer....from another example in the forums.

The SKU is not generated by X-Cart....I am assigning them....

I added the manufacturer in the product.tpl which works great.

Is there a way to have the SKU automatically listed in the product details? I could add an extra field but then I would have to list the SKU twice for every manual listing of a product???

Im looking to do something similair to the original post so if anyone has any ideas for this I would love to hear.

Bascially I Need to add a checkbox to the add and modify new product.
Where It will be "Once its on, it's gone" so if I tick that on the admin it will show that text in the product.tpl but if unticked it will not be shown.
