Webmaster Kit does not show the tracing option
 

I'm running XCart 5.1.2 and have installed the Webmaster Kit module. I checked the Profiler Enabled and the Mark Templates boxes and saved. The box that should show the Enable tracing / Disable tracing options is empty in the top right corner of the screen. Just a white box.

Is this a bug?

I have tried in both Chrome and IE and have the same result.

I tried on multiple computers and the result is the same.

I uninstalled and removed the module, then reinstalled the module.

Now the white box does not even show up so there is no way to toggle the tracing on/off.

Any ideas?

Hi!

Judging by the snapshot, this trace box is properly generated by X-Cart, but some CSS rule moves it outside of the browser window. Can you try to use Inspect Element feature in Google in order to trace down what style moves it away?

Thanks for the suggestion, Tony.

After I removed and then re-installed the module, the box has vanished completely.

I did try to inspect the element when it was visible and it was simply an empty div.

Now I'm really at a loss as I cannot find that div anywhere in the page code. I even tried to install a fresh version of X-cart 5.1.2 in a temp directory and the webmaster mode on that install is also broken.

I'm still struggling with the Webmaster Kit not working.

I downloaded xcart 5.1.3 and created a clean install without any default catalog items.

I turned on the Webmaster Kit module and let it install the module.

Then under settings, if I check the "profiler enabled" and "mark template" options I still do not get anything in the white box where the "enable tracing" link should appear.

Again, this is on a fresh installation with no products and no customization.
