Importing text with special characters
 

I am having a problem with product imports where one of the descriptive fields contains special characters.

The character we are trying to import is ь - the symbol for diameter. The import process just cuts the field at this point, leaving behind everything after it.

The character appears correctly in the csv file, and is acceptable when pasted in directly via the admin area, but we seem to be unable to import it.

Any ideas?

You might be able to call it via ASCII in an html tag. &#216

thanks, I tried that .... giving up and using an alternative now :(
