rotating testimonials

I would like to have a block were testimonials are rotated when a customer gets onto my home page or views other pages in my site. Basically when a customer would click on a link to go to a new page a random testimonial would show up. Is there a mod out for this already? I saw it on an x-cart site but the owner wouldn't respond to my question.

I believe bcsengineering.com has a testimonials manager. Moving to Third Party Add-Ons.

Been a LONG time...but from what I remember it was pretty easy. You can always order their installation services which are quite inexpensive.

Bought the module, BCSEngineering installed it, works great. I highly recommend it if you want testimonials on your site!

I have this mod installed for over 1 year and started getting hackers hijacking the form.

Carrie from BCSE promised a captcha feature for this mode since late last year but didn't get around to it yet.

So, I decided to disable the mod for unregistered users.

Just modify the skin1/customer/main/testimonials.tpl to:

{elseif $mode eq "new_form" or $mode eq "error"}

{capture name=dialog}

{if $login eq "" }

Please Login to write a Testimonial. We appreciate your Feedback, thank you.

{else}

<table width=100%>

and add the {/if} behind the </table> tag

Works for me...

is there any option to have the testimonials rotating on the side box?

It will rotate upon either page refresh or if you change pages. If you want it to sit there and refresh then some customizations would be needed. Contact us if you want a quote.

i went to buy the testimonials mod (for v4.2.1) but i saw next to v4.2 this "available arround4-6".. What is that mean? Does it work for v4.2.1?
