order appearance of products
 

I can go into the admin and pick the products in a category and I am able to change the order of the products but the change in order does not appear on the website the way i intended. Instead it defaults to alphabetical. is there a place to choose the order in which products appear?

This could be a bug in this cart version. Probably best to upgrade to latest in the branch.

is that one known to have this bug?

I don't know if this is a bug or not. I just suggested that it could be. Latest in 5.2.x is 17 so it is best to upgrade.

X-Cart 5 remembers the order mode that the user selected the last time. If you change the "default order", it applies on new visitors only.

Try to check it from a "private browsing" window - does the setting apply there?
