Hide an Attribute from Product Filter
 

I sell skis on my website, they come in almost every size from 70cm to +200cm. Because I use the product filter plugin, I didn't want to have +130 different values for ski length, it doesn't look good and its to fine of a search metric.

Instead, I use size ranges (170cm-179cm, 180cm-189cm, etc.) which are easier to navigate and look better. The trouble comes when I want to make product variants: I need to have an exact value. My solution is to make another attribute that is only used to set a ski's actual length for the purpose of creating variants.

Is there a way to take this "special" attribute and hide it from the product filter? I don't want to have two different Ski Length attributes showing.
