Top Navigation instead of flyout
 

I am wondering if anyone knows how to remove the flyout navigation and place the categories in the top of the site. Any ideas let me know.

You have to create your own horizontal menu. Removing flyout cats is easy - just comment out the call to it in home.tpl

Ok, I did that and removed the flyout. Now where should I add my horizontal menu in 4.4.1?

Anywhere you want it to appear. It is usually added to head.tpl so it goes in the header section

Thank you that worked. Do you think I should make a nav.tpl with the code in it and just put the call to the file in the head.tpl?

Any idea how to call new files in 4.4.1?

John and Steve,
I am a new user of X-cart software. Please guide me. Is is possible to have a horizontal Menu with drop-down sub-categories which will be displayed when user moves mouse over the Horizontal Menu.

I reviewed link http://www.xcartmods.co.uk/x-cart-4-level-horizontal-dropdown-category-menu.html.
However they do not support the latest versions of X-cart.
