Bottle Deposit
 

Hi, I am trying to setup an online liquor store. Have already setup different categories of liquor and everything. I need to be able to add Bottle deposit based on quantity/size purchased of each product. Deposit part of the transaction would not include tax, so for example if a bottle Crown Royal costs $28.99 then total should be 28.99+tax and 0.10cent deposit added to the total. Can someone please guide me in the right direction as a

Do you just need tax exemption on bottle deposit, or do you also need to manage the return/reimbursement of the bottle? Besides, are you using any special module for the calculation of tax?

Thanks for your time Ed! At this time it is not necessary to calculate returns as we usually manage that over the phone. As for tax calculation, currently using “Sales Tax” module by Xcart team. I will DM you my site and also an example site as to what I am looking for.

You need custom module to add new order surcharge. The "weight" of the new surcharge should be set higher than the "weight" of the tax module - that way it won't be taxed because the tax will run and be set before the new surcharge. But to make 100% sure the custom module should explicitly set the new surcharge tax excluding.
