Not sure if this would be of any interest to you, but how about tying it in with maxmind geoip so that initially when a visitor comes to your site it will display the currency in their local currency without any user intervention, thats what we have done with our site (including displaying if the price should be displayed inc VAT or ex VAT) and it works very well (when customer creates account it overrides it of course just in case there is a mistake)

That's an interesting idea. I'm going to play around with it and will consider adding it as a feature to the next build.

Thanks,

Defiantly a much needed modification!

Not really related to the mod, but going to:
 http://www.rubymods.com/product/5/

And selecting a currency on the left causes a 404 ;)

Thanks for the heads up Boomer.
Got to watch those SEO mod re-writes!

The mod now includes a GeoIP component, which automatically selects the visiting customer's country as the alternative currency. It's based upon the user's IP address.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Rubyaryat,

Will this work with 4.1.x? I think it's great and can't wait to try it out.

Thanks,

Mike

Hi Mike,
I've prepared the mod for 4.1x, but I'm waiting until 4.1x is more stable before releasing the 4.1 version of our FedEx mod to the public.
I'll notify you as soon as I do.
