XNews v1.0 - Offered free for beta testers

I've created a News Management mod for x-cart, allowing admins to edit, post, and delete news, keeping their visitors up-to-date on new developments at their company/store.

I'm offering the script free for 2 beta testers, 1 on 3.5 and one on 4.0, that will help me smooth out the installation and any problems. The beta testers must be experienced with php, smarty, and x-cart.

If your interested, please post in this thread requesting to beta test.

Here's some screen shots of how it looks:

status ?

Hi Jon,

Saw that the newsmanagement mod is curently working on your site.
When will it be available for sales (4.xx version).

I've bought your Easy Checkout Mod and forgot to use the 25$ discount coupon. First I thought: how stupid can you get ?
But I'm so damned pleased with it ... worth every penny even without discount !

Great to hear.

The development of the mod has been post-poned a bit as it's taken a back seat to client work, but I'll put something together soon and contact you guys about testing.

Not sure from the screenshots if you have factored this into it but for when you start up this project it would be advantageous to pre-prepare news and have it posted on a certain date.

And to allow for active / non active

Thanks for the suggestions. Let me know if you have any others.

Use a better free wysiwyg editor than the one i think you are going to use from the screenshots.

If its the one I think it is when you click on the insert image it brings up a popup window where you have to insert the url to the image.

I've used free ones before (cant remember off the top of my head the name, but i'll try and hunt it down) where it will bring up a browse to directoy window so if you are using filesytem to store your product images then you can just choose from the folder on your server.

Personal favourite: Spaw Editor from Solmetra
