The following fields must be marked as Required: phone
 
I've made it really far along in the process of setting up xpayments. I have hit a couple road blocks. I've installed Xpayments and set up a payment configuration and a store. I went to modules in the xcart install for natureslawn.com. (You should have the back end access already.) I activated the module and deployed the configuration field. It all comes through ok except that I am getting the following error on the modules page:

"The following fields must be marked as Required: phone. If a customer does not provide values for these fields, X-Payments checkout is impossible."
I have gone into the paypal account and made sure that the contact telephone number is set to: "On (Required Field)"

When I go into the payment methods section. X-Payments does not show up as an available gateway so I cannot finish the process.

What am I missing here? Please help.

You need to make phone number a required field in X-Cart admin back-end.

I found the phone field in xcart and made that change. The error message in the xpayments module disappeared.

I reimported the payment methods in the module.

I added the gateway for the Xpayments method.

I see the "Payment systems X-Payments: Credit Card: Configure | Delete" line.

There is no check box next to it. When I disable the current pay pal method, the checkout button disappears on the cart upon a reload.

I believe that I have done everything correctly.

What am I missing?

Make sure you put a tick near your X-Payment method at X-Cart's "Payment methods" section, e.g.
http://help.x-cart.com/images/c/c2/Payment_methods.gif

You need to enable a payment method there if you want to see it in your checkout.

The check box next to Xpayments in the Payment methods section is not there. I can cofigure it, but I can not select it.

Today when I checked it the checkbox it there. Now I am getting another error.

Order processing error
Order declined.
Review your data or contact the store administrator.


Reason: Internal error

I've started a new thread since this is a new problem.
